One of my favorite Christmas-themed movies has always been White Christmas starring Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen and Bing Crosby.
Therefore, I’d like to recommend a book that’s an excellent source of background information on the movie, White Christmas - namely, “”White Christmas”: The Story of a Song” by Jody Rosen.
As the title says it is, of course, a book about one of the best-loved secular Christmas songs ever, but it’s also a cultural study in itself when it comes to popular music, Americana and Hollywood history.
